Life at The Gables
The Gables is a converted house on a quiet terrace, small enough that everyone knows each other.
People are welcome to bring their own furniture and decorate their room the way they like. Meals are flexible, activities are arranged every day, and there's a garden for sitting out, growing things and helping with the gardening.
The bus stop, shops, post office and GP surgery are all a short walk away, so it's easy to stay part of the local community.
How moving in works
Moving home is a big step. We take it at a pace that suits each person.
Get in touch
Call us or send an enquiry. Social workers, NHS teams, families and individuals can all contact us directly.
Visit and assessment
Come and see the home and meet the team. We'll talk about needs, wishes and risks to check The Gables is the right fit.
Trial stay
Where it helps, a trial stay gives the person time to get to know the house and the people before deciding.
Settling in
We agree a care plan together and review it regularly as the person settles and their goals change.
How we work
